Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa
HOTEL OVERVIEW
Where Action, Relaxation, and Island Charm Meet. Set on its very own peninsula and framed by not one, but three stunning beaches, Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa is your gateway to the wild, adventure-filled side of Mauritius – and a firm favourite for families, nature lovers, honeymooners, and active travellers alike. Nestled on the southeast coast of the island, this expansive 4-star superior resort is all about variety, value, and vibrant island energy, making it one of the most loved choices among South African holidaymakers.
Spread across lush tropical grounds with panoramic views of the Blue Bay Marine Park, Shandrani offers something for everyone. Six restaurants serve up everything from casual bites to fine dining, while a 9-hole mashie golf course, full-service spa, and an abundance of land and water sports keep boredom at bay. From stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling to beach volleyball, sailing, or simply sunbathing on a quiet cove – the choice is yours.
One of the standout features? The flexible all-inclusive offering. Since November 2020, Shandrani has redefined all-inclusive travel with not one but two elevated packages:
Serenity All-Inclusive: Perfect for those who want delicious variety without the fuss – think included drinks, snacks, and lunch at multiple venues.
Serenity Plus Premium: For the traveller who wants that extra bit of indulgence, this premium tier includes top-shelf drinks, added experiences, and exclusive inclusions for stays of seven nights or more.
Spacious accommodation is another big win here. Interleading rooms and family apartments make it easy for everyone to spread out in comfort, while couples can opt for romantic suites tucked away for extra privacy. The vibe is laid-back yet lively – perfect for those who want the freedom to do it all, or nothing at all.
Whether you're planning a family getaway, an island honeymoon, or a group escape packed with fun and value, Shandrani Beachcomber delivers on all fronts – and once you've been, it's easy to see why guests keep coming back year after year.

What To Pack
As a guide, the maximum weight for checked luggage is 20kg in economy class and 30kg in business class. Your hand-luggage should not weigh more than 6kg and needs to be small and compact.
Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. A light rain jacket might come in handy in the event of the occasional rain shower. Sunglasses and suntan lotion are a must. Flip flops, sun hat and a beach bag. If you’re planning on adventuring around the island (there’s so much more to see and do outside of your hotel!) be sure to pack a pair of comfy walking shoes, and lots of suncream!
-
Take Your Own
Don’t forget any medication that you might need, and be sure to pack it in your hand luggage.
Chargers for all your devices (it’s a good idea to take along a few movies on a tablet or something similar as the English TV channels in your hotel may be limited).
Take along your own goggles & snorkels – even though your resort will have this equipment available free of charge or to hire, you’ll probably be happier having your own.
Mosquito repellent. An underwater camera is a great idea.

Travel Tips
Pack a change of clothing in your hand luggage in case of baggage delays (and a spare cozzie so at least you can have a swim when you get to your resort). No sharp objects are permitted in your hand luggage (yes, tweezers are sharp!). Put electronics, medication, toothbrushes and jewellery in your carry-on bag.
Travel insurance is a must. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford to travel! Travelling with kids – please check that you have all the relevant documents including unabridged Birth Certificates.
It’s often a good idea to let your bank or credit card company know that you’re going overseas.
