Jambiani Villas

HOTEL OVERVIEW

Your Private Slice of Zanzibar’s Most Beautiful Coastline

Set along one of the most breathtaking stretches of Zanzibar’s South-East Coast, Jambiani Villas offers an exclusive escape where white-sand beaches, turquoise Indian Ocean views, and the gentle rhythm of island life create the perfect setting for a deeply relaxing holiday. The villas sit right on the edge of the charming fishing village of Jambiani — a peaceful, culturally rich pocket of the island where you can still experience authentic Swahili life, stroll miles of untouched coastline, enjoy barefoot beach bars, try local seafood restaurants, or set off on boat trips to spot dolphins and marine life.

Created with a deep love for African culture and genuine Zanzibari hospitality, Jambiani Villas is family-owned and operated, ensuring a warm, personal atmosphere throughout your stay. What began as a single villa in 2015 has grown into three boutique beachfront locations, each offering privacy, comfort, and incredible views that stretch endlessly across the Indian Ocean.

Every villa features uninterrupted ocean panoramas — the kind that make you stop in your tracks the moment you walk through the door. The six-metre glass frontage opens the entire living space to the sea, flooding each villa with natural light and showcasing sunrises you’ll never forget. With spacious interiors, three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and private outdoor areas, these villas are ideal for families, groups of friends, or couples looking for space and exclusivity.

Outside, private pools and sun-soaked decks invite you to unwind at your own pace, whether you prefer a refreshing dip during low tide or relaxing with a cocktail in hand while enjoying the ocean breeze. Each location offers high-speed WiFi, a welcoming bar area, and daily housekeeping — giving you the comfort of a luxury resort with the privacy of your own home.

Jambiani Villas makes it impossibly easy to switch off, reconnect, and savour the beauty of Zanzibar. With its unbeatable beachfront setting, intimate atmosphere, and blend of authenticity and modern comfort, it’s no wonder travellers return year after year for their dream island getaway.

Useful Info

  • What To Pack

As a guide, the maximum weight for checked luggage is 20kg in economy class and 30kg in business class. Your hand-luggage should not weigh more than 6kg and needs to be small and compact.

Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. A light rain jacket might come in handy in the event of the occasional rain shower. Sunglasses and suntan lotion are a must. Flip flops, sun hat and a beach bag. If you’re planning on adventuring around the island (there’s so much more to see and do outside of your hotel!) be sure to pack a pair of comfy walking shoes, and lots of suncream!

  • Take Your Own

Don’t forget any medication that you might need, and be sure to pack it in your hand luggage.

Chargers for all your devices (it’s a good idea to take along a few movies on a tablet or something similar as the English TV channels in your hotel may be limited).

Take along your own goggles & snorkels – even though your resort will have this equipment available free of charge or to hire, you’ll probably be happier having your own.

Mosquito repellent. An underwater camera is a great idea.

  • Travel Tips

Pack a change of clothing in your hand luggage in case of baggage delays (and a spare cozzie so at least you can have a swim when you get to your resort). No sharp objects are permitted in your hand luggage (yes, tweezers are sharp!). Put electronics, medication, toothbrushes and jewellery in your carry-on bag.

Travel insurance is a must. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford to travel! Travelling with kids – please check that you have all the relevant documents including unabridged Birth Certificates.

It’s often a good idea to let your bank or credit card company know that you’re going overseas.
