Beach & Lemur Explorer 10-Day Guided Tour - Madagascar
Beach & Lemur Package - 8 days
Nosy Be and Andasibe National Park in 8 days. During your stay you will have the opportunity to visit the V.O.I..M.M.A community reserve. This reserve provides a sustainable way of saving the remaining rainforests in the area by creating a livelihood for the local communities through reforestation projects.
Nosy Be: Visit the scented tropical island and enjoy various optional activities such as Spice tours, a visit to the Ylang Ylang distillery, excursions to the peak of Mont Passot for exquisite views, sailing, diving, fishing, market tours, Nosy Tanikely snorkelling trips, boat trips to Nosy Komba (lemur island) and many more. Natural Reserve of Andasibe: Hike through the natural rainforest in search of endemic wildlife such as chameleons, tenrecs, birds and the Indri Indri - the largest lemurs in Madagascar. Lemur Island: Embrace the perfect photo opportunity while coming up close with the resident habituated lemurs at Vakona. Marozevo: Visit a small, private reptile and butterfly farm also known as Reserve Peyrieras. Antananarivo: End your journey in the bustling capital city of Madagascar.
Tour can depart on every day of the week, subject to flight arrival times on the Nosy Be – Antananarivo flight (day 5). Please note this tour is not recommended from mid-January through to mid-March due to a risk of cyclones in the north.

Before you go
What To Pack
As a guide, the maximum weight for checked luggage is 20kg in economy class and 30kg in business class. Your hand-luggage should not weigh more than 6kg and needs to be small and compact.
Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. A light rain jacket might come in handy in the event of the occasional rain shower. Sunglasses and suntan lotion are a must. Flip flops, sun hat and a beach bag. If you’re planning on adventuring around the area (there’s so much more to see and do outside of your lodge/hotel!) be sure to pack a pair of comfy walking shoes, and lots of suncream!
Take Your Own
Don’t forget any medication that you might need, and be sure to pack it in your hand luggage.
Chargers for all your devices (it’s a good idea to take along a few movies on a tablet or something similar as the English TV channels in your hotel may be limited).
Take along your own goggles & snorkels – even though some properties have this equipment available free of charge or to hire, you’ll probably be happier having your own.
Mosquito repellent. An underwater camera is a great idea.
Travel Tips
Pack a change of clothing in your hand luggage in case of baggage delays (and a spare cozzie so at least you can have a swim when you get to your final destination). No sharp objects are permitted in your hand luggage (yes, tweezers are sharp!). Put electronics, medication, toothbrushes and jewellery in your carry-on bag.
Travel insurance is a must. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford to travel! Travelling with kids – please check that you have all the relevant documents including unabridged Birth Certificates.
It’s often a good idea to let your bank or credit card company know that you’re going overseas.
