There are 30 cottages available to choose from at the lodge. The cottages are made from stone and have well-insulated thatched roofs for a cozy, warm atmosphere in your room, which have en-suite bathrooms equipped with what you will need. They also all come with a living room area and a fireplace for soft, warm ambience.
If the weather is warm and sky is clear, there’s a private veranda with each room from where you can look out over the luscious green lands and the mountain ranges.
Eating is a real treat at the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge with authentic Rwandese cuisine served directly to you from their own kitchen. Served by friendly and hospitable staff to ensure you’re enjoying your meal. The dining area is basic but serves its purpose as a warm and gentle atmospheric sitting area to sit back and enjoy your meal to the fullest. There is something for everyone on their menu as well as desserts to die for.

Due to the superb location of the lodge, there are plenty of things to do and places to see; namely the Gorilla-tracking. The Gorillas are the main attraction of the area offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and interact with the beautiful inhabitants of the Rwandan mountains.
There are other sights to see such as the Dian Fossey Grave Site, the Musanze Caves and the Rwanda genocide; all places which are definitely worth seeing on your way through the Volcanoes National Park.
