Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport you will be greeted by your guide. After greetings you will start your way to Senga Bay, Salima where you will have a boat trip to Nankoma Island. Your first two nights will be spend at Blue Zebra Lodge situated in the Lake Malawi National Park on Nankoma Island which forms part of Marelli Island Archipelago.
It offers 8 exclusive tented en suite chalets each overlooking the lake with some of crystal clear waters. The chalets are set in an unspoiled environment and guests are surrounded by nature and luxury. Guests are free to chill at the infinity pool, Kayak around the islands or enjoy a game of volleyball as part of the board package. The lodge also offers free use of snorkelling equipment to view the unique colourful fish that inhabit every inch of the coastline.
After breakfast you will have a boat transfer to your next piece of paradise on the Lake Malawi, your accommodation will be at Domwe Island.
Domwe Island is the largest unpopulated island in Lake Malawi, with a circumference of 11km and a highest point 400m above lake level. Domwe Island Adventure Camp is basic yet exclusive. It lies behind a small beach on the island’s west side. From solar lighting to dry compost toilets Domwe aims to be as eco-friendly as possible, so during your stay here you will be living authentically alongside nature.
After breakfast you can either kayak out to the stunning Mumbo Island or take the boat for a 40 minutes trip. Mumbo Island is a deserted tropical island on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi. With amazing underwater boulders, around 800 species of colorful cichlid fishes and placid, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkeling and SCUBA diving in the world.
Tours of Mumbo Island are intended to be unhurried, unrushed and tailored to your individual preferences, so you can get to know Mumbo Island personally. You could either spend your day snorkeling, enjoying the beach, or exploring this Robinson Island! By the end of the day, you could reach this cliff, known to be the best Sunset point of view, with packed chilled drinks. And after a delicious dinner, why not sleeping in a hammock, under the blanket of brilliant stars… Mumbo Island is simply an unforgettable experience, all in all, a small taste of heaven on earth…
After breakfast you be transferred back to Nankoma Island, where you will spend your last night at Blue Zebra Lodge. You can choose to relax by the pool side or you can spend your day enjoying some of the activities Zebra Lodge has to offer.
Day 8:- Departure to Lilongwe
All the good things must come to an end and today after breakfast your guide will drive you straight from Senga Bay – Salima to Lilongwe International Airport for your flight back home.
