Accommodation at the Kaya Mawa Lodge has a huge variety of room types for you to choose from.
For the standard rooms there’s the Khuyu, Msekwa and Mbungu Rooms which all have their unique selling points; be it close to the restaurant, a photographers favourite or secluded with private access to the lake.
The Premium Rooms consist of the Nhkwazi, Mbama, Makengulu and Ngani rooms; all with first class views of the lake. The Makengulu Room leads out onto a wooden jetty over the lake with striking view to Mozambique. The Ngani Room is the only chalet on the ‘second’ beach making it incredibly exclusive and private (perfect for the honeymooners.)
There are also Houses for available accommodation; this range is the Madimba and Mainja. Alternatively there are the Family Houses Yofu and Ulissa.
The on-site kitchen as been nominated for an award and prides itself on serving you fresh, healthy and innovative cuisine using only local and home grown products. The buffet breakfast and lunches as well as dinners can be served at any time of the day.
The bar and restaurant are at the East end of their beach which is split into a multi-level deck area from where you have exquisite views over the lake while you sit in comfy lounging chairs and sip on your drinks.
