Accommodation at Camp Hwange is an 8 chalet, 16 bedded camp. Each room features complete comfort with soft plush beds, clean linens and a beautiful en-suite bathroom. The rooms are dressed to impressed with netted hangings and stylish décor built to complement the wilderness instead of disrupting it. Camp Hwange takes their conservation very seriously and pride themselves on their low carbon footprint. They use solar energy for electricity and hot running water throughout the camp.
Each rooms has windows all around so that you can have stunning panoramic (and private) views of the surrounding environment, namely, the permanent waterhole from where you can view game amble on through to replenish their thirst – an unforgettable scene.
The main lodge is a beautiful thatched construction made up of unusual shapes and silhouettes – this is where you’ll find the camp’s very own restaurant and lounge overlooking the waterhole among century-old ebony trees. Watch the game while you dig into a mouth-watering Zimbabwean menu where there is something for everyone.
After a busy day of game drives, hikes and other exciting activities, you’ll see yourself appreciating the relaxing lounge area very much. Then later on in the evening you can make your way to the camp fire where guests can sit around, chat while taking in the sights and sound of nature.
